Herengracht (Patricians’ Canal or Lord’s Canal) is the first of the three major canals in the city centre of Amsterdam. The canal is named after the heren regeerders who governed the city in the 16th and 17th century. The most fashionable part is called the Golden Bend, with many double wide mansions, inner gardens and coach houses on Keizersgracht (source Wikipedia: click here). 

This photo was taken using a tripod where I kept the exposure for long. This is one of the most beautiful canals in Amsterdam, narrow with a set of bridges lighting it up. More about this canal in Dutch here.

This is my first (among many other failed trials) to get something decent out of smoke photography. You can check out the remaining pics in the gallery here.

This is one of the trials where I tried to do some creativity with water drops. The beauty is that you can have any background and reflect them in these drops for a beautiful effect. Next step will be to create wallpapers similar to ones on ipad  Check out the gallery for more pics: click here
